so this weekend, it was confirmed that I was victim to hydrostatic lockup. we pulled the motor out, and had to pull the trans with it since the flywheel was locked up and I couldn't turn it to get the last bolt on the torque converter. we pulled the plugs and a bout a quart (it seemed like) of water, not antifreeze so it wasn't a head gasket, came pouring out. it looked almost drinkable, as it was clear!!!! my boss was nice enough to let me borrow one of the trailers to bring it to work and leave it up there to work on it. pullin the motor was easy since we had a overhead hoist :) it was my first time pulling a motor and It wasn't as hard as I thought. on further inspection, the oil pan had to gouges on either side, one bigger than the other. still haven't flipped the motor to pull the pan to see the damage but I figure it's not gonna be good. I've been hearing it may not be worth fixing, if even fixable and that I might be buying another crate motor....expensive lesson learned....no more hood scoop pokin out the hood
