Don't be afraid to take the car to a shop to have it "serviced", just tell em something dumb like do a safety inspection or rotate the tires. Snap some pics (with the flash on!) of the underside of the car while you're there.

as everyone else, if I had the cash, the drive up to get it would be worth letting it live out it's life here in NC... I think the rust issue, and saying it hasn't been driven in 13 years are the main detractors.... sometimes letting it sit can be worse than driving it into the ground....
