So how much will i be lookin at for a new drive shaft, or to have mine modified for the center section

I really can't remember without going back and finding my receipt but I'm thinking mine was somewhere between $300 and $400.
But once again, you can get one cheaper than that. I think mine is about 4" in dia. and is good for WAAY more horsepower than I have. Like I said, I spent the extra $$$ on mine because I did not want to be breaking any more rearend sh*t at the track. I had already broken my share of sh*t over the years with the 8.5.
You can purchase stock drum brakes pretty reasonable or depending on the housing ends you can pick up ford disc brake setups from a junk yard. Certain ford explorers will work and I'm not sure what else but I'm sure there are others that will work as well.

Dang i didnt know it was that much work involed. I was lookin for something that would bolt right up real easy no modifications and custom parts. I'm now thinking about selling the housing and finding an 8.5 housing.

If you are going to sell it let me know I may be interested I am looking into buying one off ebay but if you got one to sell maybe we can work something out.

I going to hold it for my brother being that he just bought a cutlass, plus i dont want to go through all the trouble of packing and shipping. So im just going to start looking for a 8.5 or 12 bolt for my bonneville.

ford 9" once its in and done right .u kinda never have to worry about it ever again .they gave it the name bulletproof for a reason lol .its really not as bad as you think .

You won't regret it in the long run.
Go ahead and spend the extra money to do it like you want it and it will be there from now on.
