What, there's a game today? Soccer, cricket, dodge ball, WNBA,...?
It was a karma thing. Or a referees in the Patriots' pocket thing. 95% of the calls this year seem to go in the Pats' favor. Rams had their chances. Goff couldn't get his head out of his *ss long enough to look down field.
First, the NFL found a way for Robey-Coleman to get flagged. He instantly hit Burkhead right after he caught the ball to keep him from advancing. TECHNICALLY, I guess it was call-able, perhaps, but that was iffy at best. So if he caught it and just stood there the tackle would be a personal foul? WTF? When the heck do they ever make that call? I've NEVER seen that called. I mean, if you're a defender, it's what you do. Would have been a spectacular stop and put the Patriots in a bad way. Oh, wait, but no...Ok, I'll let that one go. Figured everyone else in the stadium didn't know why it got called, so why should I worry about it.
2nd, that non-called pass interference on the Patriots against Cooks by holding his left arm down with the ball coming to him (in the play right before the interception) at 4 minutes and change left that would have tied the game- it might have been a different story at the end? We'll never know. So the Saints can suck it. It's all evened up now. Neither Rams or Saints won the super turd bowl this year.
Sadly, they had a chance to win a couple of times, at least put some good points up. Goes to show you how pathetic both offenses were against some very strong defenses on both sides. The Rams punted... what... 9 times in a row? You cannot win like that.
