thanks for the replies. i have had trouble with valve covers before. not really with leakage, but fitment. i''ll check those and definitely the brake cleaner thing.

sbc's are bad about that just take out your intake bolts put a bunch of gasket sealer on them and re torque and your done

ive been having the same problem since i did my cam. nothin bad. but there is always a little puddle on one of the driver side bolts. ima try just using some thread sealer first. i hate messing with those intake gaskets.

same,

solved? i hope!

THE BOLTS! I was sitting at my desk at work just running through what could be leaking. If it were the valve cover it'd be jumping the area between the head and intake. If it were a gap between the head and intake, why wouldn't it be pooled in there (head and intake)? This is why I had been stumped. I had never even thought it could be the bolts, but it fits! i am definitely doing something with those bolts this weekend!! Thanks for the brainstorming everyone. I hope this one is solved!!

Get some thread sealer, clean the bolts and holes with brake parts cleaner and see what happens. Also, if you are running aftermarket valve covers, be sure they are quality pieces. Cheap ones are made of very thin metal and are hard to seal. It's part of the reason I run stock ones with stock spreaders and bolts on my car. The aftermarket stuff is too damn leak prone.

Yeah I have some aluminum M/T ones i got from a friend. I need to buy some baffles for them. Actually I already bought them, I just accidentally had them shipped to my old NC address. :burning:

and yess! Definitely getting that thread sealer. Or would anyone recommend RTV black silicon?
