Every time I see a crossfire, there's a chick driving it.

The Crossfire was an old CLK platform with a Mercedes V6 powering it. The SRT-6 variant used the supercharged V6 from the C32 AMG. Having driven a C32 AMG at around 130mph through a construction zone at 3am when returning from Ybor City, I will say it's a wonderful engine when it is not blowing head gaskets or superchargers, or any one of a number of maladies that car had. Even so, I tend to think it a very ugly car that looks like a cross between an AMC Marlin and a new Sebring. I hope they fired the designer.

I imagine the sort of meet they have as being only slightly less embarrassing to attend than a "Saturn Homecoming."

very nice cars.
but
harder than heck to see behind you, if you can.
and
oil changes are $139 at dealer. my guess it's harder than heck to get to everything.

being a mopar guy, i've heard nothing but good things about them. esp the SRT's.

The only new vehicles I've had my eyes set on are the new Camaro and Challenger.

I really like the new muscle cars.

However, I would never sell my g-body. I love my GP too much.

Maybe someday I'll own one, but I'm going to stick with my g-body as my daily driver and work with what I have. 🙂

this thread is jokes.

I know what you guys mean though. I'm always on craigslist looking for parts and such and sometimes I come across some really nice project cars. i found a pretty nice 78 nova, 83 cutlass, 92 240sx, and 94 integra gsr.

I always think about other cars until i see my Regal in the driveway.

I think constantly of other cars, but usually not the ones everyone else does. My list goes something like Original Mini, Datsun PL510, East German Trabant P601, Citroen DS, 91-94 Nissan Sentra SE-R-in white, a Mercedes Benz type W123 turbo diesel, Soviet-built Avtovaz 2101 (Fiat 124 clone) or an old solid axle Toyota 4x4 pickup from about 1980. As for new cars, they are well built but I have yet to find one that really stirs my soul. They seem too regulated and artificial for my taste. They lack that certain something that only comes in an older car that was designed on paper rather than in cyberspace.

the only car of the present that I really like a lot is the Audy A4. I drove my friends from time to time and it was too much fun. the 1.8 turbo is small but it gives you the feeling of ample power at all speeds.

not to mention that it gets over 800 on a full tank! I'll probably get one of those one day. When I'm older I want to have a collection of cars including the third gen. prelude, my 84 regal, at least one integra, an 86 cutlass, and 69 nova.

Some cars I would like to have in the future, I'll need a good job 😀 :
03 Olds Aurora - convert to rwd and a 455 swap
02 XJR - LSx swap
84 hurst olds, or maybe 85 442
86 GN
98-02 WS6 ram air
06 GTO - with some sort of forced induction
33 Willys sedan - convert to woody, not a fan of the high boys or roadsters
any C4 corvette - a grand sport paint treatment
early 50's chopped buick or merc. I just like that look

And I wouldn't trade my cutty supreme for any of those

The only car on my list that would tempt me to trade my Cutlass for it is the Mini, but not a stock one. There is a kit available to make one that is absolutely berserk. It involves using the AWD system from a CRV with the engine from a Integra Type R, all in a package that weighs around 1700lbs when finished. Considering all that could be done to a Honda B series VTEC engine, I would probably trade my Cutlass on either a nicely built example, or (preferably) a huge pile of parts (Including a new Heritage body shell) that would allow me to build my own. Add a turbo and make it about 300hp, and a ZR-1 would have nothing on you!
