I have also considered using this concept in a slightly larger car, the East German Sachsenring Trabant P601. The problem is finding a Trabant, and then finding parts for a Trabant.

Dude you seriously need a job as a chassis engineer or car designer or something. Can't you get some sort of accreditation or two year degree in that?

I am currently trying to finish a Mechanical Engineering degree, so you are not too far off. The sad thing is that these are some of my more "normal" ideas. I also played with the idea of a hybrid diesel/solar/electric hybrid AMC Rambler American wagon and figured out about 90% of the basic mechanics of how to bring it all together using mostly junkyard parts. Then there was my dabbling in a steam/ pyrolization hybrid idea that would run a car off of wood with greater efficiency than either a normal wood fueled car or steam car.

Yes, but a Honey Badger is cute looking too. However, it is a nasty little creature that likes to rip off your balls. So, I like it because it is a Honey Badger to the unsuspecting. Someone in a new Corvette would laugh at it at a light, then when the light turns green, it will rip the Vette's balls off. I prefer cars that no one suspects of being fast to ones that shout their intentions. It is for that reason that i would love to build a turbo'd engine for my Frontier. Leave it stock looking, spray paint the intercooler black, and then go hunting...
