I have 2 opportunities to pick up a wagon the first one is a 1979 Malibu Wagon plain jane not running the owner does not know much about it. The body is straight it has the V6 and that is pretty much all he could tell me about I seen pics and the body is in decent shape. Asking $1500

The second is a 1982 Cutlass Cruiser Wagon v6 for $1300 and this thing is LOADED power split bench, power windows, rally gauge package, power vent windows, tilt column cruise control missing tail gate latch (no big deal) BUT it has a 2 speed powerglide in it (WTF) the car fires right up! Body is in pretty good shape as well. Needs some TLC.

I am not a big fan of the front end on the cutlass cruiser but it is complete and I could probably grow to like it lol, I know the front ends of the Cutlass are not interchangeable so i would probably have to black it out or something. .......OPINIONS??

Well, it depends on what you want or like?

I personally dig Malibu & el Camaro front styling, so that is what I would pick. But, a Cutlass wagon with a 350-403-455 Olds and a 200R4 overdrive would be sweet.

I like the Malibu/El Camino front end as well but I am looking for the wagons and they are getting harder and harder to find these days! I have been looking for almost 3 months for a project and these are the only ones to pop up, I am trying to buy one before Xmas that way I can "lowball" and get a good deal I know that is bad but hey gotta do what I gotta do in order to score a wagon!

LOL man I wish I could but I also have a 59 Biscayne in the garage that I am already working on the wagon will be my parts runner (yeah....right I will be putting money into the wagon as well) because that is what I told my wife to justify the buy lol!!

$3000 had old try-y headers and stuff. Probably should have bought it and made it run....can't save em all.

That said, I look at them as savings accounts. Plus, if you buy and sell a few, people know, the word gets out. That's why they called me for the 58 Brookwood wagon above.
