So I found out I have a 350C.....What my questions is will my 1974 350 work with this transmission? If so will I be able to put in a different aftermarket torque converter.
Thanks in advance, AJ

350C means that you have a lockup torque converter. That's good for gas mileage, but not so much for performance. I think you can probably get a decent converter for it, but you will need the one with a lock up clutch inside it.

I don't know if you can use a non=lockup converter in your trans or not... You may just have to get a 350C torque converter for a V6 and run that for an 1800-2000 stall.

If your transmission is chevy bolt pattern, you can use it.

Stick with the lock-up. Less heat, better economy.

Do you have the long, or short tailshaft? If they are the same, it should bolt right up, assuming the new one is a lockup as well.
