I’ve been clearing out wiring in a preperation for my engine swap which has mostly included removal of all the cruise control and fixing cut and unplugged wires from the previous owner. It’s a 1980 Malibu Wagon
I was looking under the dash and above the main fuse block there’s this white plate that things are plugged into. What is this for, and where do these wires lead too?

I was also planning on removing the convenience center but didnt know where all the wiring went to

On the far left there’s a black, orange, dark green that go into the black box. What is this box and where do the wires go.
top right I have pink/black, yellow, black, black. Which I believe is keypower, seatbelt light?, ground, ground.
On the bottom I have green, orange. Which Is key ignition switch, 12v.
So I really want to know what the small I Black box is and where those black, orange, and dark green wires to.
I looked at some wiring diagrams and none seem to have this box.

The black box is your chime for when you leave the keys in the ignition when the door is open and a few other things.

As for the white part I believe its a junction area for the doors. I believe the power windows and locks as well as door switch for the interior lights is ran through there but I am not 100% certain on that part.

Okay thank you. Atleast I know where to start for checking a connector that’s supposed to be plugged into that junction box

+1 on that being the brain box for the door chimes and the seat belt warning buzzer. As for the other item, ???? Cruise Control, maybe????
