Well you guys are gonna hate me 🙁
But i love top gear usa i look foward to every new one that pops up on hulu. I love how they bash on eachother

But yes they piss me off now and then like how tanner rips on american cars says there awful and How adam will purposely roll a car for a challenge
and how the producers give em challenges like fill that car with water and see if itl move.

( example like oh corvette zr1 is not a super car even though it does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds has 630 horsepower and goes 205 mph off the lot the porche he was comparing to 0-60 3.4 seconds has less ponys and tops out at 198 but he claims it is a super car ) Thats just a small example from tanner bashing on american cars

i agree, but you know you don't have to be in the UK to watch the show, right?
Yes, I've heard that it can be seen here on one of the many satellite channels. Unfortunately with my ripoff cable lineup, I can't receive it, and other great car shows like Chasing Classic Cars, etc.

BBC America shows it all the time besides the new Doctor Who series here in the US.

They're not hating on the straight line performance of our sportier cars too much.
What anyone who's done alot of performance driving complains about is the too soft suspensions and quite often the balance between the handling capability and the brakes. When you talk about a performance car you have to consider the total package. Even their mom and pop cars are designed to have a sportier package so the cars can react in hairy situations. Most of our cars were designed to float on the road soaking up all the bumps but when pushed they lean over like they want to rollover. It is better than it used to be in the past but our market still isn't up to snuff.
I'm placing a lot of the blame on our road system where everything is designed to be a straight shot from point A to point B where other countries have alot of their roads built around the natural curves of the land. We have a government that will force someone off their land for cheap and then pave right through it.

How about those wonderful plastic interiors though, everybody loves our standard cheap plastic interiors :puke:

Most of Europe had it's road transport infrastructure in place long before the automobile was invented, the USA highway system was developed alongside cars and trucks.
We had curves and bends in our roads that weren't a problem for horse drawn vehicles, and expensive imported fuel. So we developed cars that could handle bends and narrow roads with gas mileage a major concern for all but the rich.
When Henry Ford made a practical affordable car for people with modest means the resultant road structure was designed to be easy for drivers to use, cheap gas and long distances between major cities resulted in wide straight roads (plenty of room for them!) and softly sprung cars with big lazy engines to make the journeys as comfortable as possible.

In both cases our road structures were logical developments given the circumstances of their origins.
The German Autobahn and Italian Autostrada systems were primarily designed for military rapid troop and ordnance movements, the same has been said for your interstate system.
The Russian road system is very primitive compared with the western world, a result of almost no private cars until the Soviet Union collapsed.

The u tube Hotrod Roadkill shows are better than the U S top gear show.

Roadkill is a great show. one of the best on youtube.

I love the roadkill show on youtube. My brother actually just redid the exhaust on his car the exact same way they did on the muscle truck lol
