im having some idling issues with my 85 buick regal 3.8 v6....in park or neutral with no load on the engine it will idle just like a new car....but when i drop it in drive or reverse it starts idling like it has a miss, like a fouled plug miss....only does it in gear and at times will clear up and run fine
i was told by a friend of mine thats a trusted and certified mechanic that my MAP sensor is bad....he said if i unplugged the electrical connector and plugged the vacuum hose going to the MAP that the car should die if its working properly....well i did that and the car kept right on idling
i know for a fact it needs a set of plugs but could a bad MAP cause this issue?...anyone ever had this problem with their v6?....anyone got a stick of dynamite?.......
god i cant wait to get my SBC finished 🙁
