If this is where Rock Music is heading... I'm totally down.

Music that speaks to you is what's important. Trying to say one type is good and everything else is crap just makes you out to sound like a derp. My playlist on the way home from work had some Jim Croce, Mudvayne, Tech9, America, Slipknot, Deadmau5, etc. I have a wide range but still have almost entre genres I won't listen to. Can't make someone else like what appeals to me and frankly I don't want to. Music is like religion, just without all the dirty feelings. Listen to what speaks to your soul.

I did turn the radio off. Completely. Don't have one.

sounds like every other glam rock band that late 80's/early 90's MTV spat out so kids like me would keep buying CDs. Probably playing a dive bar or state fair near you. Or early afternoon side stage rock festival fare. Yeah I'm harsh.
Or headlining for The Who...

Here's what drives me crazy. I live in NYC. There should be a ton of good rock radio stations. Yet instead we have Spanish, Hip Hop, Religious, Country, Talk radio, Sports, News, an Oldie station that just lately figured out the '80's happened, a "Classic" rock station that is stuck in the '70's and thinks their bands only made one song, virtually a rock desert. And yet there is a HUGE underground Indie scene in Brooklyn and Long Island City that is filling clubs and spawning tons of great groups. No radio coverage since The Indie Darkroom died. Is the radio market that corrupt as it was in the Allen Freed days? Money talks? I guess so because he aforementioned WFUV 90.7 is a non-profit public radio station. And it is the only station paying attention. Yeah, they still worship the Beatles and Stones but they play stuff you may have never heard. And you can hear NEW music that no one else will play. Like this perfect road trip song.
