Over the last couple weeks I stuck my Pontiac motor in a 78 Cutty.

First T&T at Cecil results in a nice smoke show. Spun to about the 300" mark running a 12.69 @127 mph.

Did mange to get a 11 flat, leaving in second, peddled to a 1.9 60' and hit the limiter for the last 40/50 feet of the track.

The short BFG Drag radials could not handle the torque.

Saturday, with a set of 30x9 Goodyear radial slicks, ran a 10.29@ 130 off the trailer.

On that run got my best 60', 1.46.

Later managed a 10.27 at 130 also.

Not to bad for a "stock" suspension. 8)

Sorry, not the best but you get the idea.

I ran them in slo-mo and see there is alot more spin then I thought, chassis unloads about 5' out.

Plenty of chassis tuning to do.

It is hard to see but the p/s goes airborne about 2" then drops quickly. I am guessing about a foot on the d/s.

There was a very similar Bu there,check how it leaves with a anti-roll bar vs me doin' the twist.

Very little if any air on the last run,slipped bad right after launch.

The short version is, the GP is still coming apart,frame notch etc.

This car was for sale very cheap.

I got it for parts but decided, what the heck, stab in my drivetrain and see what she does.

Really happy with the results.

This combo dialed has single digit potential.

In my GP, which will be lighter with better suspension, hoping for mid to high 9z, someday!
