I’m back

Usually bill of sale means no title, depending on the state you can try and jump through the hoops to get one

I live in Tennessee. There appears to be a way of obtaining the title if need be. I’m still waiting on the seller to get back to me. I want to do a resto mod so I’m not against a roller but I need to be able to get it on the road eventually

It’s beginning to look like I’m back to square one. The guy in Knoxville with the $1k roller finally got back to me but is not being, so far, forthcoming with information. I have asked for a second time for the VIN.

Keep looking. I looked for about two years when I found mine. I originally wanted another 78 (because I like the tail lights and grill) but this 79 had a lot to offer for the price.

In Arizona you can get a notarized bill of sale but good idea to have police vin/records check for stolen.

With Bill of Sale you can get Bonded title but is PITA. Takes a couple months.

People flaking out is big red flag. But looks like sheet is good, fiberglass hood, nose not all beat up, glass is there. New seat skins, new carpet. Dash needs full resto, mechanical and frame is unknown, but heavy corrosion on Fischer Body plate is possible flag.

For me it's a 200 dollar car but 1000 or more seems to be market. But most the cars I get for 1000 need something, but they are drivers.

The guy ignored my request for the VIN and marked it as sold Thursday. Seems like most people want at least $4000 for rollers. This quest is going to take longer than I would like. Such is life.
