Inexspensive Shocks and Struts

What would you guys say is a good alternative to a good stiff suspension other than say Bilstein or Koni shocks. Like something that doesn't cost so much.

I've had Afco on my GP for 4 years and they worked great. I used #7 valve in the front and #5 in the back. I like them cause they are a linear shock so they give you a consistent reaction. I'm going to try out some Bilsteins this year but they are a racing shock so they are also a linear shock but a bit more $$ than the Afco
