Installing LS and 6L80e

I'm considering installing an LS engine and 6L80e trans into an 87 GP and wondering if anyone has installed a 6l80 into a G Body? I'm wondering how whether it requires major alterations to the floor and the factory console would no longer fit.

In a word yes.....but I haven't seen one that I has been done that way....I too have pondered this very same question.....I meant too look at a couple places that sale performance 6 speed auto trans to see what their measurements where....
