I would have to go Mustang, if I were FORCED to vote. It looks decent but its power is lacking. And I think the interior is just as cheap as anything else but it looks kinda neat with the fake engine turned pieces(at least in the Bullit edition, Not sure of the interior in the Gt).

My ULTIMATE choice would be a Lotus Elise, but I was shocked at just how expensive the early ones still are. It has to be the ultimate driver's car. No weight to spoil the fun. I also love the new Challenger, but not the price. It is too heavy, but damn. It's just so beautiful to look at.

I just added my other three possibilities: A East German Trabant with a Hayabusa motorcycle engine swapped in, a cheap 4x4 truck, or an original Mini from the 1960's-80's. The Trabant has been covered in other posts, but it is basically a microcar made with a steel shell and a body of plasticized cotton waste. For a cheap 4x4, it would be a K Blazer/Jimmy, Dodge Ramcharger, Ford Bronco, Jeep Cherokee or CJ, Isuzu Amigo, or Suzuki Samurai. The Mini is wonderfully small and can be swapped to a Honda B16 for a 1400lb car with 160hp. Yes, FWD, but what a fun thing it would be. Even stock the handling is amazing. Plus it is one of my all time dream cars to own.

That's more like it! I went with the 4x4. Just because that would be next on my list.

I voted Mustang. It's American, It's RWD, And it's got a V8. If you get it, Just make sure to get a Manual Transmission to get the most fun out of it. My second choice would be the EVO, Turbo+AWD= Fun. But it ultimatly comes down to what YOU want, Not us, We all have our own likes and dislikes. Get what you think is best... After all, You will be driving it, Not us.
