i saw this at a car cruise this past summer, and the i found the color really interesting. i have never seen one in this color. and on top of it, it had leather upholstered bucket seats, with a column shift and a factory looking console. i should have gotten a pic of the interior. is that a factory color? and is it rare? and could you get leather upholstered seats from the factory? was the column shift console available from the factory? this car has me scratching my head.

Hmmm....good question....my factory color looked an awful lot like that, but it's a Limited, not a T-type...could be rare for the T-type version, I've not seen a whole lot of T-types with that color scheme. I had a beige landau top and interior. That's the color combo I want to do eventually, so it looks factory (when I get it painted nicely....for now it'll be rattle can black and beige).

As for the column shift with a console, that has me scratching my head....I don't know if that was available from the factory? I thought that with a column shift you got a bench seat and with a console shifter you got buckets, but I could be wrong, unless it was custom-ordered like that.

If the car has a column shifter then I'm 99% sure that that center console isn't stock. And if the center console isn't stock then there's a good chance the seats aren't either. Off hand I can't think of any column shift/bucket seat cars from the factory. Especially in leather.
The paint, on the other hand, is a factory color. Once again though, 99% sure.

EDIT: I stand corrected. That's why I never commit to 100%

The color is rare for sure, the interior your talking about is limited interior its a half console with the leather seats.it also came in t types if ordered that way, I would love to find a nice tan set for my regal

Exactly like that! I knew that console looked stock. And the buckets didn't really look like buckets, more like some sorta weird bench sh*t :wtf:. Thanks, this was driving me nuts trying to figure out what that was.

also available in grey.

Seeing as that car is an '86 it is quite rare in both color and interior. Not a Limited , though the Limited was available in 1987. It could be had in velour or leather in '87.

Velour Limited '87

looks like the same tan that 75% of the limited and base regals came with around here... I have been wrong before though....

Quite a few Monte SS's that way. At least when I was looking there were.
