new guy here. hope to see some cool cars and find hard to find parts. so little intro, my names joe I've owned many gbodys turbos included, but at 53 yo i found my forever gbody! couple years ago while being laid up in bed after some surgery, enjoying 15+ hrs screen time a day I found a 1 owner completely original 1979 Reagl 4 speed with all paperwork and a complete service log of everything and anything that was done from 12 miles till 103K when it got parked in 1987 with a blown motor and sat since. fast forward to 2024 it wears its 100% original paint and completely original interior, the only things changed are the wheels and the motor, all the paint and crayon marks all over the underside and suspension are still there. gimmi some feed back please. is this as rare as i think it is or am I delusional? either way i love this car, its tight, its right and I'm going to keep this one forever!! thanks!!

The first G body I ever rode in and drove was my sister's car, a 1979 Regal, same color combination as yours, but 3.8 2brl, auto. Yours is very cool. What transmission are you punishing with the 454?

I see you don't have a rear sway bar. I understand that you may not want to modify it much, but upgraded sway bars really helps the driving experience, even the factory F41 stuff would make a difference.

Very cool! 454 w/muncie? I'm jelly. Do you still have the open diff 2.41 ratio in the 7.5" rear? I'll second carnutjw with the swaybars - great upgrade to the handling with good shocks too.

Beautiful car! Engine swap looks great. What was the original engine? Are you running the Saginaw 4 speed that came in it?

Not a bad idea.

But, if one is going to add a rear sway-bar, skip an OE bar + mounting arrangement & go directly to the S10 swap or aftermarket equivalent. Why hinder the usefulness of the equipment being added?
