is this bent and where does it go

Hello all I am putting my shiffter in and remembered I needed this bracket but is it bent and should strqight

I just checked the one I have and yours looks bent. That notched piece should be straight up.

Scrape that thing clean.. stick it in a vise... straighten it out...and hit it with a rattle can.

So I made it straight but does not seem to work holes don't line up anywhere nore does the cable go in any suggestions?

I have a 1987 cutlass with a 350/350 combo from a mid 70s truck I think I am using the cutlass floor shifter cable and brackets but they don't work so any advice?

What trans are you using, and where did that bracket come from? I'm assuming it's not for the transmission you're using.
Is the shifter from the Cutlass for a 200-4R? If it is, you'll either need a cable and bracket for a TH350. The cable from a 200-4R will not fit a TH350 bracket.

That's what I'm using currently. I have a 4-spd shifter, with a 3-spd cable and cable bracket.
It's temporary until the 200-4R goes in.

That may be the wrong bracket. It should look like this for the olds with a th350
