need to know before i stick this column in my daily.... the lever that broke off, i still have. or is the lever itself replacable and easy to replace? thanks in advance...

it's hard to tell but if it's broken so the arm won't install that piece is easy to change..
 
you remove the steering wheel and the round metal cover under it. There is a philips screw holding the broken piece in place
 
if just the stalk itself is broke it will pull out by grabbing with a pair of pliers as the stalk just snaps into the dimmer switch mechanism. unfortunately it looks like the wiring for the wipers/cruise control has been cut. you will need to remove the steering wheel and the turn signal cam assembly to to run the wire harness back down the column tube. if the end of the stalk will not come out or the end tip of it breaks down inside the dimmer switch and you can't fish it out you will also need to replace the dimmer switch assembly.

i actually just learned that via youtube. the wiring wasnt cut, it was pushed in. now im faced with the task of putting that metal plate back on....

Rent a lock plate tool from Auto Zone, Or buy one.Not that expensive. It looks like you need one of these. You can use the cut wires sticking out to pull the new harness back down the column.
