Starter. Just buy a heat wrap for the starter. And the new one won't go toast.

A couple of reasons I like a ford style solenoid with headers is that the wire from the solenoid to the starter is only hot when you turn the key to start. It's easy to hook up a wire to remote jump the engine to do valve adjustments, it's easier than having someone in the car to bump it in position. And with a roller cam you have to set the engine at 4 different positions to adjust the valve lash

My headers a very very close I can't even get a finger between them at some parts but I can afford a good set of headers and the Canadian dollar is just horrible still
