iso weird intake ...

THIS is exactly what I was talking about before. The aftermarket parts that were plentiful are now being removed from the inventories and production schedules for companies who used to make them by the truckload. Hence, even the cool aftermarket parts are drying up. You either have to 1) Hope and pray for an new old stock one on a shelf somewhere 2) Someone that has one, new or used that wants to part with it, or 3) make it yourself.

And be prepared to pay for these unique performance parts. Dearly. Supply and demand thing comes into play. If there was continued demand for these intakes, they'd still have made them. It's possible that the manufacturer made like 1000 of them as a batch run, then moved on to other things. Then, when the 1000 got depleted, that's it. Don't know. Many possibilities.

As the world is in a quandry about EV conversion and supporting gas engines, etc., some aftermarket companies are dropping their ICE stuff and moving on...much to our sadness.

The interesting part is, come the end of January, even if they did manufacture them again, you'll pay a MUCH higher price due to the incoming tariffs on China, assuming it's Chinesium. It looks like it to me.

Might be. But the sticker designs/nomenclature all point to that intake is made from Chinesium. I'm holding that thought until proven wrong.

Did a little checking myself. Pretty sure it's Chinesium. Lotsa core-shift issues I've read about too on their line of intakes. Not sure it'd be my first choice of intakes, unless you don't mind a grind or two, drilling new holes and modifying to fit.

It would probably boil down to the question of how rigid the quality control standards were during the manufacturing process, including the post casting machining that had to be done. The only real way to determine if your pig in a poke is going to give you the chops and bacon you are looking for is to have the item in hand and inspect it for yourself.

Given the iffy reputation that "Chinesium" has, for myself I would be looking to have the casting either sonofluxed, or magnafluxed, or both, to make sure that it is internally flawless and didn't get dropped on its head during birth. A good machine shop ought to be able to provide that service. As for the finish machining, just about the same steps only involving a new set of gaskets and a test head to see if things line up and if not what might be done to change that. A little porting work with a die grinder and cutters could be all that is necessary or the issue could be far more serious with things like the bolt holes totally out of alignment.
It does seem to be a major case of "Caveat Emptor", or Buyer Beware plus, factoring in the individual in question about to become the next president, it does appear like imported products are about to take a severe beating in cost.

Your advice is wise. But, I have had a Wilson intake which had to be "worked" to fit. Some time a block is milled, or heads shaved or angle cut. Regardless of what or who manufactured, this one is here and free of tarifs!! Let me know..happy Thanksgiving

Yeah, that thought had occurred to me shortly after I posted my comments. I elected to pass on it simply because it adds more complications to an already itchy situation. In doing the port matching, had there been any mismatch of the mating surfaces you likely would have found it then. Or not, being just a head and intake on the bench without a block to support them could result in miss on the mismatch just because.

And, Hey, Yeah, Happy Thanksgiving!! May your turkey be hot, your beer cold, and the gravy free of lumps!!

trust me the price is right. i am not waiting on some anal over-achiever demanding the perfect match. 350 plus ride to your place from 76902.
