I thought about that but he can still use it on a larger bike when he gets there. I am disappointed however that you didn't mention you were impressed with my expertise on my cad program.....

Actually I was em-bear-assed to admit I didn't know what CAD stood for 😕.

CAD program for a kickstand on a kids bike? Wow. For minute there, I thought I was swimming in the deep end of the pool, but then I realized there was "JB Weld" and "CAD" in the same subject...

You know what CAD stands for, right? Can't Actually Draw....I heard that one from an old-school draftsman - you could tell he had been flogged the old way - he wrote everything in perfect little square letters.

I took old school drafting in high school - and I still print that way too. Old habits die hard!

I don't know about the others mentioned, but with JB Weld it's all about surface prep. If the surface isn't rough you have to make it rough. They tell you that in the instructions. A ragged cast iron fracture won't need much prep, while a shiny smooth chromed surface will need a lot.

EDIT: JB Weld is epoxy, as is Marine Tex, which requires the same prep. POR Patch is basically a much thicker form of POR-15 paint.
