I found what that is at 70 mph and it sure is different to have a panhard bar with a bit of play in the front instead of the rear. It seemed to be fine until I greased it, as usual with parts that are bound up.. 🙂

Been there after hitting a set of tracks at about 45mph. Shook the truck enough to make my hat fly off and both drinks from the cupholder pretty much exploded. Not fun!

had that happen to me once I lifted my wj Grand Cherokee... going westbound on i70 near Blackhawk I was going downhill at around 65mph when it revealed itself!! scared the crap out of me and my passenger!! :| funny thing I was on my way to test out the lift kit... :blam:

thanks, I got the cure for it, a new track bar. The tie rod fitting had some play in it. It upsets me though that I have to put money into my jeep cause I paid $700 for it and only put about 3,500 miles on it.

It's baaack...had the wobble come back today while on the way back to the office from an out of town court appearance. The replacement bar I used was a moog so I don't think that is defective. I have not looked at it yet but besides the bar any suggestions should I be looking at that could cause the wobble? This wobble is taking years off my life and I don't have too many left to begin with...

Thanks...

I had a lifted cherokee. Heavy steering stabilizer helps a lot. And control arm bushings. When they wear they make the axle shift back and forth and side to side

I ordered a stabilizer and steering link tie rod today. The stabilizer was leaking and the tie rod has some play. The rest of it seems pretty tight so I'll install these parts when they come in and I'll see how it is. I don't think the bushings are a problem as when I change the panhard bar then wobble went away. The tie rods had not been greased for a while so they were bound but now that I have greased them if they are bad they will show it with the grease loosening them up

The steering stabilizer fixed the wobble on my buddies 96 3500 Cummins.
