The guy who put the engine in my car welded a 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 inch tubing from frame to frame. Should I just cut that out and buy the Jeg's crossmember Part # 550-41050 for $129.00?

I just find it inconvenient and it looks hacked. If the transmission ever lets go, I will have to cut it out anyway.

I considered that one but it looks kinda cheap in the picture. I would rather spend the extra 70 or 80 bucks to get the g force crossmember. They look like they are built alot better.

I don't know anyone who has a Jeg's one, but they look kinda cheezy to me also. I got a G Force and it's soild and fits perfect, and it looks pretty nice too! I think its worth the couple extra $$$ Maybe check ebay.

I have the jegster cross member and it is VERY nicely built. It is a very heavy gauge steel, and has excelent welds on it, and it is fully powder coated black. it fits like a glove to.

Thanks, looks like I will be picking one up.

I have one as well ( yet to put it on mind you ) and it looks to be built quite well. almost 1/2" steel bent for the dual cutouts and good heavy tubing for the rest. Unit must weigh about 30 lbs.

and i also have one installed on my car. fit great no complaints

pretty sure i got one separate

you can also contact Rick AKA "Iceman" he makes all kinds of transmission crossmember and other stuff like rear control arms etc.. and his parts are alot cheaper then jegs, or g-force and better quality imho. Alot of the malibu guys run his parts and never heard of anything breaking or bad parts, this guys makes good stuff
