Given a choice between Gregorian Chants sung in classic latin and Geddy Lee / Rush, I'll take the chants. This is purely me being personal here but the only reason Rush ever got the air time they did and still do is that CFCC is required by federal laws governing national radio air time to give over a set percentage of air time to Canadian content. While it did give some great bands the opportunity to be heard that had not existed before, some major turkeys also managed to slip under the fence as well. Plus it barred the door to some American and Global Bands that would otherwise have received air time as a consequence. Think of it as censorship by another name.

Fortunate Son is one of the songs that i try to have queued up for when I run US 61 over Mount Josephine. In fact that whole best of Creedence is worth the listen. Take it to the Limit by Springsteen is another one and Tom Cochrane and Red Ryder's Human Race is almost a mandatory choice as it reflects a lot of how I've felt from time to time.

CCR is top 10 on my list. Haven’t really listened to Red Ryder much. May dig into them.Pink Floyd, Delta Moon, Steppenwolf, Kansas, Rush, Molly Hatchet, and a long list after.
Fortunate Son is literally my phone ringtone.

I have an extensive collection of music from the 1950s to modern day now. Literally what is playin now is California Deaming from the Mamas and the Papas. I may need to post in the music thread more often haha.

Jeff Healey and Kenny Wayne Shepherd on way to work

Lovin the Full Metal Jacket references.
