I might have missed it but what engine paint did you go with? Looks like the same color as mine

I just wound up using Duplicolor engine enamel, DE1653 I think. It was all I could get locally. I tried to get the paint you recommended and there was a minimum order of like $200 or something. There are several people over on the V8Buick forum who claim to have used the Duplicolor with success. I'm very happy with how it came out, fingers crossed it holds up.

Oh yea now I remember the minimum quantity thing. That sucks! As for the Duplicolor, I wish you luck. Maybe I was holding the can wrong lol!

Don't drive through rain or snow and it will be fine. Douse it in satin clear if you want.

Yeah and it was going to take about a week to receive it and I needed to get it painted as soon as possible so that Bob could finish it up.

The car will never see snow again and it shouldn't see rain unless I get caught in it. It already has two-three medium coats of gloss clear on it.

My alternator bracket finally arrived in the mail today. I'm going to give it a quick coat of aluminum color paint before it goes on. I need to buy some more SEM Trim Black to paint the top bracket and touch up a couple spots on my power steering pump, then I'll get the PS pump and the alternator on.

Dope.
Sidenote: the sbb is wider than it is deep front to back. It's kind of a chode of an engine externally. You probably won't need to take the accessories off for installation. Just keep an eye on that ac box.
