I was going through the files today and the total of the fines I saved the company was over $500,000.00.......the cost to the municipality to issue and process all those tickets was about $1,500.000.00. The regional counsel and the lawyers who put the bylaw on the books ought to be personally responsible..........

The risk is in the argument. Do you have the fee statute up there? We do in Florida.

no and it's very difficult to get costs in Provincial Offenses court. As far as my fees with these ticket I gave him a flat fee on each ticket. We are considering going after the Region since the bylaw they passed was only to punish my client. It sounds outlandish but I actually have information and documents to back that up.

Has anyone thought to address/investigate the issue regarding the Police officers' collusion with the Towing Association? That seems very sketchy.

EDIT: And most likely the root cause of this issue. Stinks of corruption. Pretty sure a simple anonymous call to the internal investigative services is all that is required.
