No worries, ill try to explain to the best of my abilities, so don't expect much  In 1980, Buick was literally all over the map with what they used and what they turbo charged. For the Century in 1980, even the century 4 door could get the LC8 ( Turbo 3.8 V6 Option). As far as the Century Coupe, they used a couple of different body codes. 4AG87 and 4AH87. From MANY years of research and actually being able to speak to individuals who worked the assembly line who had documentation, The 4AH87 body code only seen 10 LC8 Turbo examples produced AND was first to be assembled during the Turbo Century Coupe run, the 4AG87 seen 147 examples produced. I love doing research and verification on these forgotten cars, because its sure to be lost history and needs to be saved and appreciated. These cars were the predecessor to the Grand Nationals and truly have a lot of history. Thanks for the compliment and thanks for your question! :)
I could never find any documentation around the turbo coupes for 78.- 80. I've heard 69 total of which I've saved five and still own one. I know of one 79 turbo 4 door. The aeroback four door was only made in 78 and 79. 80 went to sedan look for the four door, while 2 door remained aeroback.

Is your car buckets, console and any other options?

In 1979, 61 were produced in the CTC, I still have no documentation on the production figure for the 4 door unfortunately. My 1980 I enrolled in the contest has a red interior, bucket seats with full operating console, its a AC delete car.

View attachment 147321 View attachment 147322 View attachment 147323 Here's my 78 century 4 door sleeper. She was a vision from when I got my first one when I was a teenager. Buick 462, stage 2, 2004r transmission and 389 9 inch rear. Stock appearing. Original paint and interior, except the 170 mph speedometer. View attachment 147324
Was reading your blog about how you had one of these in high school, brings back memories!!! I was JUST recently out of School and had an opportunity to purchase a 4 door black 1979 Century, I loved it but at only at certain angles lol, i guess people who own these could relate. I started working for a local dealership part time as a third job, and the owners elderly father in laws car was there, taken away because he couldn't drive anymore (dementia). And the a** on the 82/83/84 Regal's were close looking but with an actual trunk, and even the tail lights interchange. SOOOOO i fell in love with this one...A 1983 Buick Regal Limited...The car only had 25K on it and was purchased new by him. I actually worked there in exchange for this car, long story, but i still have this car today, with 50K original! Love it and will post up the only two pics I have handy for eye candy. Pretty classy looking G body for a 19 year old ....by the way, THIS IS NOT an entry!!! Just part of a story that relates to Rus's
