Sorry it’s been a while. Got some good work done on her : core support removal ( it was all rotted out by the battery of course) so I got one off of a regal. I’ll need to reshape the headlight hole but I do like the cross braces! Working on painting the engine bay and frame currently. Also scored on offerup for a set of rally wheels to make it look a little better than the silly Chevy hubcaps on steels on it now

Maybe I'm weird(pretty sure of it), but I really thought the dog dish caps were pretty cool looking. Definitely different, but probably need bigger wheels to look their best.

Don’t attempt to spray it without a Tyvek suit , and full face respirator with chemical cartriges

Alright it’s been a minute. Had some slow progress but a few creative solutions to problems I seen keep coming up.

One headache was the front sway bar bolts that stripped out on final torque. Of course on the drivers side where access is limited. I ended up boring out a socket sized hole in the top of the frame near the power steering pump w a step bit. I then put the aft bolt in from the top and nutted the bottom. For the forward one I removed the bumper shock and was able to put a nut on the inside of the frame.

The next headache was attaching the stock style power steering pump after installing headers. I used a power steering pump bracket setup from scamazon but with the stock style pump, the pump itself was still pretty loose without an attach point on the back of the pump. I was afraid it was not going to hold the belt. The bottom of the pump mount to the block has nowhere to bolt to the pump on the back.

We all know finding the non-ac bracket for the pump is like hens teeth. So as a simple and cheap solution I used a piece of flat stock steel and put a bolt into the heads and one into the upper mount hole on the pump. Now it’s stir as a board and completely secure. Not pretty but it’s gonna work a charm
