Hey doug, Pontiac built just such a prototype in 78-79 and it looks awesome. Have you ever seen the pics?

Guys, i was going keep the LeMans taillights until i broke one loading it on a trailer last spring, as for an engine, right now it has a 350 chevy that is stock on the shortblock, with a smal solid lift cam, double hump heads, harland sharp roller rockers, a single plane intake, and a 650 double pumper. It has a th350 trans and i'm in the process of getting a bte 3500 stall for it. I have a ford 9" for it just need to have the axles tubes welded up. On the inside, i have installed a 78 monte carlo dash only because it was free. It'll be bare bones inside with only the gauges , cage, shifter, and seats. Probably never paint it as i just dont care what color it is as long as it runs and drives. I'm building the car to have fun with. Never been into serious drag racing or car shows and just cant get into restoring one. I hope to have it running in the next few weeks. I only like the oil pump rod in the motor and the converter. It should be a fun little toy to play with and what not. I'll sure keep you guys posted on how it comes along.

By the way, i kept the LeMans front clip, just in case i ever want to change it. However, i do need some malibu bumpers and taillights.

Sounds like a really cool mixed bag of stuff to have fun with. I would still paint it though even if it`s just a quicky job. around here if you drive around with too many defferent colored body panels, the cops think you have a piece of junk and hassle you to no end.

It'll all be one color. I'm probably going to shoot a good coat of hot rod gray primer on it.
