That's the one....73-76 would be what you have, (going by the heads).

yup and a solid web main 350 at that .... a good cam, better heads and maybe some flat top pistons and you got the foundation for a REALLY strong Olds there.

ok one more thing. as i said before the transmission went out so i need help iding the transmission.

Count the number of bolts on the transmission pan, also take notice of the pan shape.

the pan has 13 bolts and is notched in the rear on the passenger side.

Most likely a th350 then, slight chance of a th250, but I doubt it, that transmission might have come from the same vehicle your engine did. Reguardless, cheap and easy to rebuild.

i called a few places and im getting 750-1000 to rebuild the transmission. does this sound right?
