I wanted to give a bump for my engine if anyone is looking to do a swap on moderate budget and get nice results.

I have the GM Performance(now known as Chevy Performance) 350 rated at 330hp and 380 ft lbs of torque.

I got it from Summit for $2800 4 years ago but the price point appears to have moved to about 3 Grand.

The low down is it's a nasty sounding engine with just enough cam to make sound like not your average motor. Yes its a flat tappet cam and iron engine but if you read the details on all the specs it's built to be tough as sh*t. All Im saying is if your budget level has you considering some strangers "built" 350 on Craigslist with "low miles", go with this instead.

anything with almost 400lb of torque is good to me. Sounds good.

Yes, this is a good all-around hot rod motor. One-piece rear main seal, threaded clutch pivot hole, and fuel pump pad is drilled.

I have one of the 24502476 cams, a set of the GM 12361371 pistons, and a pair of new Vortec heads, all from the 330HP 350 parts list. I hope to 'upconvert' the 4-bolt Goodwrench crate 350 that came with my wagon, assuming the cylinder bores don't need more than a resurfacing hone. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the sound bite!
