I wasn't sure what forum to put this under, but anyway, im looking to see what kind of fan setups you guys are running to keep cool in the heat. I'm looking to go dual electric or something like that without breaking the bank. My stock clutch fan isn't doing the job, could need a clutch but idk. I have a 17"(?) flex fan I had laying around on the car now, it's a little small but better than the stocker. I tried to fit a mark viii fan, but it just barely contacted the water pump.
I need a slim low pro fan setup, preferably dual fan, that moves tons of air. Any ideas, suggestions, or experience?

Thanks guys.

One thing is to be sure your car has the proper air dams to direct all the incoming air through the rad. Alot of the base models didn't get the air dams AKA, air boxes, AKA Rad boxes. If you have a serpentine belt setup with a reverse water pump, you can run a modern clutch 11 blade nylon fan. It would be great if someone made a standard rotation version. Those 11 blade nylon fans work just as well as electric fans. With electric fans, stay away from the cheap ones as they are weak. Good ones cost alot and draw alot of current to run. Alot of people pull dual fans out of junkyard Intrepids since they are powerful units for pretty cheap. Electric fans do have more failure points with the motor, wiring, relays, etc. Many say to avoid flex fans since they can shatter. Personally I prefer a factory belt driven fan with a clutch, simple and very effective with less failure points.

I have been running Intrepid dual fans that I bought new for years now on my Griffen radiator to cool my big blocks, they fit a 26" wide core very well (with slight grinding) and have a high and low speed. I made aluminum brackets to mount mine to the core support.

Running an iroc rad and a fan from a 96 cobra

Im at 160 all day and 130 at the track.

I'm running a factory steel fan, and factory 307 V8 rad. Doesn't use any coolant and the hottest ive seen is around 165. I'm still looking to go to dual electric fans for cheap in the future.
