Key stuck in the on position :|

when i went to turn my car off i couldn't move the key. nothing happened. ended up pulling a fuse. but any ideas what it could be? replace the lock solenoid? something in the shifter? any advice would help.

Try playing with the collar on the steering column. It is the part that moves with the shifter, it's more towards the dash.

to get the key out ...rotate the bowl on the column .... is this a floor shift car?
