I bought an 1980 el camino.... with a giant list of lies from the previous owner blah blah we have all done it. The car is originally a v6 4 speed car converted to a 4.4 with a th350 after a bunch of cash the motor runs great. The problem I am having is i can not find a suitable tv cable the one it came with was broken. I have bought 5 and all of the ends of the cables opening are different like there are multiple size orifices in the trans case I Frankensteined 3 of the together but the cable gets stuck in the sheath. I also for get to mention i have a holley 4160 carb not the 210 jet 2barrel. maybe i am leaving out some necessary information if you see it please ask. I dont know what the trans is out of is there a way to tell?

A cable from a car with a v-8 and turbo 350 trans should work. You will have to get the linkage kit for your holley but any cable from a turbo 350 trans should work. It is called a kickdown cable on a 350, a throttle valve or tv cable was used on the 200 and 700 overdrives, and will not work on a 350. In fact I will check tomorrow and if I still have the one from my elco you are welcome to it if you pay the shipping.

let me know if you could please post a pic.. I do have the kick down linkage for the th350 on a holley
