Kore3 C5 Front and Rear question

I received an email response from Tobin who recommended this set up for the rear C5 calipers on a 10bolt.

My rear is an 8.5"

I watched a video about a guy doing it but didn't hear him mention anything about machineing axles down. He only drilled holes for bracket.

Anyone know if machining is required on what I have?

3. Axle flanges may need to be machined to be less than ø5.9" outside diameter to properly mate with rotors. Most axle shafts will need to be modified.

5. Vehicles equipped with staggered shocks may require two left hand calipers for proper caliper bleeder screw placement. The brackets are ambidextrous and can be installed facing forward or rearward, inline with the pinion.

I'm supposed to get my calipers tomorrow. I have been waiting to confirm they are as advertised before reaching out again to Tobin.

Does anyone know about any required machineing on 8.5 for C5 big brakes?
 
The video owner responded that he didn't need to machine axle so I believe I am ready to go with my rears.

For the front I am going to buy the Hybrid kit that allows for 14" rotors.

I have 18" wheels so they should fit.

Any reason I should just go with this?

Seems like bigger rotor would be a better proposal but curious what the forum thought.
My quotes are attached. The smaller kit would save about $100

As far as machining the axles, you will find out either way soon enough. Not a big deal either way.The 355 mm rotors do NOT clear all 18" wheels. The 340 mm rotors seem to fit a larger selection of the 18" wheels. Use the C5 4 piston front caliper, it has plenty of clamping force.
 
I assume you know there is a template you can download from KORE3 to confirm caliper clearance inside your wheels? My 12.8” kit cleared 17” wheels, but I had to remove stick on wheel weights from their previous location. They barely scraped the calipers, and they can be moved a bit on the rim profile and be okay.

Yeah, I'm working on my front suspension and was curious if anyone had experience to offer as I wait to put it all together. I don't have anything to measure at this point.

The calipers I have are 2 piston.
