That website seems pretty good. Might try them out in a few weeks for a complete l.e.d bulb swap all around the car. Question, I put a 1157 l e.d bulb in my rear taillight and it smoked up. I emedatily pulled the fuse and tried to get the bulb out. The bulb had broken in half in the socket and heated the socket up bad, anyone ever had this or knows why it did that?

Maybe you got a bad bulb,Try another one, i know most will only go in one way,but did you put it in wrong ? i had a ford tempo that you could put the bulb in the socket either way,but i did notice when in wrong it was way brighter, maybe a bad ground wire not really sure Hope you get it furgured out

If you look at the stock cluster and ignore the tach that was the factory lighting @skulledmonte84

Thanks for the L.E.D. bulb swap tip--I tried them once --no improvement--yours are apparently superior and I want to try them out. I think most of us are non-plussed by our dim,uh,overly 'discrete'? gauge cluster illumination! But it got worse for me when the gauge needles started falling off from plastic rot.The last straw was my speedo.needle.I laid the cluster down flat and went to the grocery store and bought regular wood toothpicks and nail polish in a close O.E.M. red and popsickle sticks. Also some larger, longer wood sticks, for what ?-shis kabobbing?- because I needed one for the speedo.I cut off the bottom of my new needles for correct lenght and filed a small flat on the backs where they join the instuments' hubs.I then applied two coats of nail polish and affixed them with small dollops of Liquid Steel on the needle flats and hubs.I supported them plum with the popsickle sticks and shim--and ran a 'locking ring' of the cement around the hubs for security. Then a wee bit more to wet finger a slight concentric crown on the hubs after it started to set. Then coat the hubs. I wonder now if it would be better to use a day-glo red on the needles with a spot of glo paint on the 55 m.p.h. mark on the.. speedo face

Wish I could but have not yet had the time to learn how to take and post pics on the internet--I had to get someone to post the images of my black Camino on this site. But you can be assured the gauges will appear stock to most people-- and the finish on the needles has held up since I did the job two years ago.Also--if you want to try to closely match your O.E.M. color try Sallys BEAUTY SUPPLY --they have a dizzying array of nail polish-- I imagine even Alice Cooper would find what he wanted.
