I have seen a few threads here where people started these swaps. Unfortunately it looks like they never finished up the threads. I have already built the top end of the motor for my swap. I'm planning on also swapping in a 4L80e while this takes place. But I saw mention where the power steering pulley is too large and you need to swap in a 3.1 V6 pulley. I've got one ordered. But the big question for me now is the AC compressor. I saw mention in one build thread that the AC compressor didn't clear the hood. The user had posted a few more pics of the car driving with a stock hood on it, but no mention of how he got around it. I'm guessing he deleted the AC compressor for the time being.
.
How much clearance is needed for the compressor to fit under the hood? I planned to get a cowl hood anyhow. But I'd like to maybe see if I can make all this fit under a stock hood and keep AC. To further complicate things, I plan to add onto the stock bracket a mount to mount a procharger P1SC supercharger onto it as well. But I planned to tuck it outward and lower than the AC compressor with two idler pulleys inboard. (Probably use a timing belt idler from a modern car for a smaller diameter pulley)
