About how much horse power do you think your making with that set up? And u did say u still
have to pass ca smog too right, Any problems with that?

i did just about everything i could to the engine outside of pulling the motor (so no crank/piston upgrades) and all with CA smog legal parts: cam, alu heads, roller rockers, intake, serp kit, msd box/coil, fuel pump, dual electric fans, dual snorkel, headers, 3" single exhaust w hipo cat (which i think is better suited for this application), 200R4 w/ grand national internals, 3.73/posi so i'm *hoping* it's in the 325-340 range. won't know for sure until it goes to the dyno but i plan on getting it dyno tuned and having a new chip burned. i think the car actually runs better since i re-hooked up all the smog/AIR crap.

i took it over to Dick Guldstrand Motorsports (they're well known for Corvette tuning and Dick is a legendary racer) and Dick himself took it for a test drive. he said it was the nicest El Camino he'd ever seen, a great build and was amazed at the power for a 305. so hopefully that figure won't be too optimistic.

I don't have the ducts installed yet,as I have halted all work and use of my car until I can get my house finished. I am going to try to figure out a way to put it in with the reinforcement bars that normally go in that spot.

As for my setup, I am fortunate enough to have not only the complete air cleaner assembly and all ducts, but the special A/C brackets and hoses for a L69 Camaro as well. This is important is as the LG4 stuff does not clear the L69 parts without bending it.

no kidding about those AC lines! first it didn't occur to me until close to the re-assembly that the GMPP serp kit would require custom fabricating all new lines to accommodate the compressor re-locating to the other side of the engine bay, then when i thought i'd dodge that bullet with the 91 camaro hoses/condenser set up, the dual snorkel required modifying the compressor line to allow for the right side ducting. THEN i find out R-12 goes for $70 a lb (and that was the cheap price, one place had it for $110/lb) and the new setup takes 3 lbs = $210 to recharge!
