LeMans wagon with factory buckets & console?

Well, it definitely looks factory in material, style and wear but obviously someone could have swapped it in at some point, many times the steering column does not get swapped when adding buckets and console so that would be a tell tail sign. I would imagine there would be something on the build sheet (if he has it or it can be found) to show the added option. Either way if I built a wagon I would do this exact swap for the interior.

Too bad it's trashed. Looks like it fell victim to the early 90's teal paint fad too.

I can't say that I've ever seen a wagon with factory bucket seat/ console interior, but that looks very original. The seats do seem to match the door panels. Plus it has power windows, tilt, and cruise.
This car was obviously a wood sided edition. It does look like it's pretty trashed, though...too bad. I suppose someone could bring it back to it's former glory. You throw enough money at anything, it will look good again.

My biggest concern would be rust. It did have a cheesy paint job.

Looks like it could have been a factory car, but its hard to tell. I picked up a 1979 Pontiac dealer brochure at a swap meet last weekend, and it shows a Grand Lemans wagon with a split bench seat interior, and all the power toys, but no buckets & console. As far as I know, Pontiac Historical Services is still operating. If the build sheet could be found, it should be possible to verify how the car was originally built.
Its definitely an interesting car. If it could be had for a decent price, it would be worth fixing up. Judging by what I can see in the photos, IMHO the asking price is a bit high. As Jack says though, if you're willing to spend enough money, you could make it look good again.

I've never seen a factory bucket/console wagon either...

If that were a factory equipped car, the carpet on the sides of the console would be just as trashed as the floor.
Plus those look like bench seat seatbelts...

My guess is that it is the original interior.
I recently parted out a 4 door Grand Am with buckets and console.
The bucket seats will have a small bracket that keeps the seats from folding forward.
No need to squeeze into the rear seat since there is an extra door.
This looks like the same wagon that was for sale for a long time, listed in Richmond.
As long as the frame is solid, and you could buy it for a realistic price ($900)
it would be a cool project IMO.

It's even got the correct cover over the gear selector on the dash panel

I think I remember that GA....maroon right? I never would have suspected any wagons receiving that interior. I agree that it's overpriced. Thank all of the car shows on tv for making people think they're sitting on a gold mine.

Yes, it was Carmine Red.....I think...bought it from the original owner. Too bad it was rotted to the bone.
I'm selling a 4 speed Grand Am for around that price....
I would like to have a nice Grand Lemans wagon though I sure can't afford to restore one.
