It's time for Prixy to get new rubber. For the most part she is a stock daily driver with a Chevy 350 that I've put headers and duals on. I'm going to put a new carb, intake, ignition on it next year. That will probably be about as high performance as she gets for several years --- until I need to keep the boy out of trouble by having him help me with the next round. It has stock tires on it now 195/75s. I would like to widen them up a little. How wide? Not too wide considering it isn't really not a hot rod yet and I have to drive in Minnesota snow. Anybody have a brand preference? What brand came on the car when it was new? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciatted. Thanks

does it have the oem 14" wheels on it? if so I would think a 225/60 would be nice or even a 235/60. I have 15's on my wagon with 255/60/15 in the back and 235/60/15 up front with no problems

Charlie,
The 255's in the rear clear the inner rails okay? I've noticed even with 235-60's, the tires come pretty close.
I'm guessing you have the same wheels on your car as I'm using. The '80's Camaro RS type wheels (15").
No wheel spacers used?

BF goodrich radial T/A there cheap and look good and have good traction all weather.

yea jack same wheel just the spokes are polished on mine and I am running a 255/60/15 in the rear discount tire brand road huggers with no problems at all it is close but not rubbing only thing I had to do was bend my tailpipe a little bit to keep it off the tire but that is because of the shitty exhaust that came on it when I got it. but I am not running any spacer and it clears just fine
