I just wedge the gas cap in the holder to hold it open, works just fine.

I have no issues with wedging the cap in my bu, however I used one of these (g body gas door) on my jeep, mounted upside down to hide my front reciever, kind of a pain in the *ss to hook a tow strap to with it constantly trying to close on me. Would either of the other two (f-body or b body) work if mounted upside down? Meaning would they still stay open or stay flipped up in this situation?
Yes I know it sounds dumb  .

I'm pretty sure it will stay up.

I alway thought that the bracket was a pain as I had to wedge the cap in there as we all do.....that being said, I just scored one from a F body 3rd generation camaro on E-Bay for $20.00 including shipping.......I figure it's worth it........anyways, thanks for the thread 🙂

Ditto. Is something like this gonna work?

That guy has more than 10 of those available, and they're new. And they're $27.

Here's another search.

I just got my F-Body third generation bracket today in the mail...whoever thought of this gets props from me 🙂
