None. No lift is required for 22s or 24s.

My opinion is stock height or lowered. 22s aren't that big.

my cutlass damn sure needs a lift in the front for 22's every time i hit a bump the tires go in the fenders

Does your car still have the original stock springs and shocks in it from when it rolled off of the assembly line? Or do you have fat, truck tires?

You don't need to lift for 22's if the suspension is at normal ride height the car will look great.

Exactly!

So what size tires are good for 22s on g-bodies, front and rear without a lift?

Nothing higher than a 35 series tire, or wider than a 275 series. Offset/backspacing of the wheels is still the most important factor in the equation.

This is how my car sat on 265/35/22s w/old, worn, stock suspension from 1983 in January 2009.
