cant seem to find an answer yet but I'm interested in getting a trz lightweight steering column. My cutlass is currently being built to compete in road racing and we're looking to go aftermarket for the column. Will their column work or am I going to pull a shake and bake and be screaming for Tom cruise to save us from the firey mess that used to be a cutlass? Thanks guys!!!!

If you use a stock tilt column, you'll need to take it apart and loctite and tighten the bolts inside per the instructions on the intenets. Every 25 year old tilt column is loose by now.

Then you'll want replace the rag joint with a U-joint like a Borgeson. After you have done this, there will be more play in the box itself than the whole upper system from the steering wheel to the box, even with a 30 year old, tilt column (as long as the bolts are tightened).

For a steering box you want the fastest box your money can buy. Better to spend more on a good box than spend it on the column.
