I could care less what the young crowd thinks. They haven't deciphered the *ss from the hole in the ground thing yet
Grandpa's Grand Prix has a 455 btw!

tt442 , that wasn't intended for the step sons either. The 18-25 y/o's are considered the younger generation in my book.

This is sad. Too many kids nowadays are only interested in the ricers with whale tail spoilers, 1000 lbs worth of ground effects, and a 5,000 watt stereo system. Not saying that's the case with your kid but just in general.

I understand where you guys are coming from though. I spend half the week getting my car polished up for a show or cruise, getting it looking super good only to have some dude in a Camaro or Mustang pull in beside me. He could have faded paint, rusted wheels, a filthy engine compartment and a gutted interior yet everyone flocks to those cars because they are "cool". I even run into the same thing with g body montes and GNs. Those are the only g bodies that are considered to be "cool" while cutlasses are referred to as "grandpa's car" or "grocery getters".

over here in so cal cutlasses are referred to as g rides cuz their know for gangsters to be driving them and turning into low riders and also stereo typed by cops

I hear you there. Seems like every g body out there nowadays has either a lift kit and 24s or hydraulics with 13" 100 spokes.

That ain't nothing new either. When I was stationed out there in Santa Ana back in '94, I had an '85 MC SS. I was talking to this chick at the time and her mom always said I had a gangster car.

Around here most G body's are sleepers. so the ricers steer clear mostly except for the few ballsy ones that think that they can keep up. Working with cars all day, you get to talking with older guys. We could talk for hours about all the cars and things that they use to do. They allways end the conversation with keep the real muscle cars going.

I understand that people are different. I mean if there where not ricers, what would we make fun of?

Well these little bastards have spent the last 10 years ,Killing each other, Cops, Women ,Old people, Cripples and just about any other stereotyped " Victim " In Countless Video games , most of them glorify Ricer type cars and or Gang activity. We have no one else to blame for our children and their behavior in public Or otherwise. :blam:

PS3 is not a baby sitter or a role model. Parenthood now days is an " Epic Fail " ( EX : "Grand Theft Auto")

I offer up My Brothers two useless doorknobs as Proof Of Concept. One Is twenty three and the other is nineteen.
They have never held a job more that two or three months.

The oldest one is on probation For stealing my wife's credit card # and the younger one is a bum living at his 87 year old grandmothers house.

He set fire to her patio last month playing with matches after taking half a bottle of her vicodin.
That he stole out of her cancer meds.

Neither one of these little Bastards ever had there asse's kicked. Let alone ever a spanking. ( end of rant )

Very well said. I totally agree.

idk what up with younger generations heads (even though am 18) with them falling into thinking ricers are the sh*t and that they can go fast *ss hell .. they all judge how fast a car is by taking a look at what the speedometer maxes out at lol ive seen it happened before ... i remember reading in some forum saying " i cant believe a 1.8 liter Honda could smoke a 5.0 mustang ..... now imagine if Honda made a 5.0 engine lol " they have obviously never been on a real car
