Testing to follow this evening. I had my diode in series with the solenoid and switch where it needs to be parallel across the solenoid...... your AC compressor has one on the clutch. 😉

Flyback diode is the cure. I put a Ding How Metri-pak on to make life easier on myself. Found another burned out LED ( Thanks, Jim!), but I prevailed! Victorious!
