Im looking to convert my auto 81 cutlass to a standard. Im lookin for a 4 speed transmission with the bell housing BOP/Chevy bolt pattern. I would like it to come with the linkages and a shifter too. I also need the pedals with linkage and zbar. any body with anything like this, please lmk. transmission has to be good. No junk please. i dont want to deal with busted gears or worn out syncros

If you're willing to put up the cash then you can try buying from these guys:

I don't know if they have anything in stock. I didn't think the swap for g-bodies was popular enough to make business out of but if these guys are really stocking manual swap parts then that's awesome.

I know when I changed mine over a couple a years ago u could buy everything new except bellhousing and clutch fork. I finally found 1, but I'm limited to a 10.5 clutch. I originally used a scatter shield. And for a cluth fork I printed a pic of 1 off the computer and cut and bent a standered gm fork to fit. I m glad I finally got the right 1. But if I had to do it again I would of ran a hydraulic set up. If you find the right bellhousing you'll know cause the pivot ball is lower then the other bellhousings

I hear that, If i was smart, i would of kept the set up from my old 85 c-10. It had a 4.3 with the 3 on the tree and i was told that the set up in the truck besides the pedals and bellhousing would of been a great set up for my car. I too had to fab a clutch fork for the truck i had and with the linkages and that, trying to get the right bends was a b*tch, so yea, after that little escapaid, hydraulic is what im a lean towards.

Ok i found a few things on ebay and would like to get some advice. As the post reads earlier, Im wanting to swap my 81 from an auto to a stick. These parts that ive found are in relation to the 78-79 cutlass with the 4 speed (W30, Hurst) Will these work in my car (with some modifications of course) ?

I placed a bid on this one, Im sure it'll work but advice is still a plus:

im mainly looking for the entire assembly but the closest i could find was this set up. Will this work with the auto set up i already have or will i have to find the mounting braket for these. The price is more than i want to spend for new but I guess if you want to play, you gotta pay. :

Now I know a few guys have made posts that were very helpful and I appreciate the help. But the parts have already been sold or im waiting for a response. Im also trying to find a clutch kit and flywheel that will fit the Buick 3.8, any ideas?

The pedals will mount to your existing auto bracket with no problems. I have a buddy who uses that kit works fine.
